Paillonnée refers to the rare decorative art of applying microscopically thin and delicate gold ornaments to an enamel dial, which is then covered with layers of semi-translucent enamel. The process requires firing the dial at temperatures exceeding 800°C (1,472°F) at least ten times, resulting in exceptional depth, brilliance, and permanence.

Case: Polished 18kt rose gold case. Domed sapphire crystal. Blue enameled main dial with a fine sunray pattern, adorned with delicate gold ornaments created using the traditional paillonnée enameling technique. Silvered sub-dials framed by brushed & polished 18kt rose gold ring. Blued steel hands. Hour & minute sub-dial at the top of the dial. Oversized small seconds sub-dial at the bottom of the dial. Black printed numeral hour markers, minute track and seconds track.

Chain: Fitted with its JD original polished 18kt rose gold pocket watch chain. The chain features elongated oval links with a matching circular T-bar for securing to a waistcoat buttonhole, terminating in a polished swivel clasp for securely attaching the pocket watch. The chaoiin measure a total of 25cm (9.75") in length.

Movement: Powered by a Jaquet Droz caliber 2615, manual winding, beats at 21,600 vph (3Hz), contains 20 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 40 hours.

Condition: Sold as N.O.S. (New old stock). This pocket-watch is unworn in as-new condition. We would be comfortable in rating this watch as in 99%+ overall condition. Delivered in its original box & with all papers (instructional manual, Paillonnée certficate, limited edition card & warranty card). The factory warranty card is dated 07/2027 & valid until 07/2029.
